RIDING INSTRUCTORS

Pamela Rich has been teaching riding lessons and horsemanship for over thirty years, and has also been a Para educator at Orange Center School since 1991. Pam's dedication to helping children grow and learn, combined with her love of horses, creates an ideal atmosphere for students to build self confidence and accomplish personal goals.

Bonnie Hall, Pam's sister, owns and operates Fairmont Stables in East Montpelier, VT. Bonnie teaches riding lessons at her barn, and has also been teaching at Happy Daze Farm Summer Camp for 15 years.

Shelby Purchase Quinn, Pam's daughter, has worked as a riding instructor for 11 years.  An accomplished rider herself, Shelby competed successfully throughout her childhood and junior years.  She showed for a year as an Amateur and then realized her passion for teaching and training.  She teaches at her Fox Creek Farm in Northfield and also her at Happy Daze Farm.  Shelby has a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and an Associate's Degree in Dairy Farm Management from Vermont Technical College.  Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Education degree and working as a para-educator at Crossett Brook Middle School.  Shelby lives in Northfield with her husband, John, two Boxers and several ponies.  Shelby breeds and trains hunter ponies.  Shelby welcomes your email!

Pam, Bonnie and Shelby make a dynamic team. Their philosophies of teaching promote responsibility, horsemanship, team work, friendship and fun. They look forward to sharing their summer with you.
